Artist Visit | Lindy Lee | UAP Australia

Australian contemporary artist Lindy Lee recently spent time in UAP's Brisbane studio, working closely with our design and construction teams. With a career spanning three decades, Lindy describes this new work as her most “ambitious and liberating yet”. Building on previous works in which she used a soldering iron to burn into paper, Lindy has begun exploring plasma cutting, a similar process in which the paper is replaced with sheets of metal.  This transition was made possible after working closely with Jerko Starcevic and Jason Kahl of the UAP construction team in our Brisbane foundry. During her visit, Lindy commented on this collaboration process, saying, "many artists have ideas but need people who are supportive and understand the artist's dialogue. UAP enabled long held ideas and allowed them to be realised."
